McCall-Judson
Director of Communications
Anthony McCall-Judson has joined Scribe Strategies & Advisors
(UK) as Director of Communications for the new London operation.
He
spent over 10 years as a London lobbyist, specialising in
political and commercial work with an overseas focus. As the
head of his own lobbying firm, McCall-Judson Associates, he
worked closely with numerous clients – from US corporations
targeting specialized markets in the United Kingdom, to African
and Middle Eastern governments seeking inward investment,
outreach programmes or issues management.
Anthony’s career began as a journalist in the 1970s,
where he held several senior positions. He wrote for The
Times, the Observer and Guardian newspapers,
numerous specialist publications and contributed to papers
as varied as the Daily Mail and London’s Evening
Standard.
The
switch from journalism to information work saw him move to
Geneva for five years, where he worked at the Palais des Nations,
the UN’s European headquarters, and later for a European
research institute. Daily working languages were French and
English, with other languages used on individual projects.
He organised outreach programmes, seminars and press conferences,
promoting research findings to scientific, commercial or political
audiences throughout Europe or worldwide.
Returning
to London in the late eighties, he worked as Director of Public
Relations for International Partnership, an advertising agency
specialising in international campaigns. The lure of opening
his own company to focus on his special interests however,
proved too strong to resist: by the mid-nineties McCall-Judson
Associates was formed and actively serving its new client
base. He will be putting his experience to use for Scribe
UK clients, in London, Brussels and farther afield.
